If you want to head down to Rio to cheer on American Olympians like Michael Phelps and LeBron James, the Brazilian government just made it easier by eliminating visa requirements during the games.
The policy will allow tourists from the United States, Canada, Japan, and Australia to enter Brazil without a visa through September 18, 2016 and allow to stay for up to 90 days, according to the Rio Times.
"I thank President Rousseff, who in a responsible manner approved such an important project for Brazilian tourism. Our proposal is to include the United States, Canada, Australia and Japan, countries with strong Olympic traditions," stated Tourism Minister, Henrique Eduardo Alves, after the announcement, reported the Rio Times.
The policy covers both the Olympics and the Paralympics.
