Cruise an America’s Cup Yacht in the San Francisco Bay

The Four Seasons in San Francisco might be located in the concrete sprawl of SoMa, but its new experience program takes guests out on the bay for a nature-fueled adventure. This month, all seven of California’s Four Seasons properties launched the Suite California Getaway Package, a series of offers that provide guests with a specialized activity in each destination, available through March of next year.

While the Westlake Village location offers paddle-boarding down the Malibu coastline, and picnicking in a Santa Cruz Mountain vineyard is an option at the Palo Alto Four Seasons, San Francisco clearly has the best perk: Sailing the bay on an America’s Cup yacht.

Aboard the USA 76, guests can pretend they’re a skipper competing in the America’s Cup, which Oracle Team USA won back in 2013.

Rather than sitting back while other people do all the work (not that there’s anything wrong with that), novice sailors can take turns learning how to operate the boat, during the 2 1/2-hour trip—one that few people get to experience.
