Kaštel

TIME : 2016/2/18 17:13:10

This crumbling old seafront fortress guarded the old town from pirate attacks. It's free to wander around inside and check out the inscribed Liburnian and Roman stones displayed within. There’s a 12th-century tower that was once used as a Frankopan courtroom and another round defence tower built by Venetians (if you fancy checking out the views from the top, there's a 10KN admission charge). The castle is now an open-air venue used for summer concerts and plays.
