Much of the Slovenian riverbank along the 118km-long Kolpa River, from Fučkovci (yes that is a real town name), just north of Adlešiči, as far southwest as Stari Trg ob Kolpi, forms the Kolpa Landscape Park, a protected area of natural wonders and cultural monuments. The river is the warmest and one of the cleanest rivers in the country. As a result, it's become a popular recreational area for swimming, fishing and boating, especially around Vinica, Adlešiči and Stari Trg ob Kolpi.
