The main Columbus site in Moguer is the 14th-century Monasterio de Santa Clara; Columbus spent a night of vigil and prayer here after returning from his first voyage in March 1493. Visits are by guided tour; you’ll see a lovely Mudéjar cloister and an impressive collection of Renaissance religious art.
