Fifteen miles southeast of Tallahassee, this historic site is where a ragtag group of Confederate soldiers prevented Union troops from reaching Tallahassee in 1865. Today it’s a peaceful picnic spot. In March costumed villagers and soldiers stage a battle reenactment, complete with a booming cannon. From Tallahassee, take Hwy 363 south to Natural Bridge Rd in Woodville.
