The centerpiece of Fort Ross State Historic Park , 12 miles north of Jenner, is an 1812 trading post and salt-weathered Russian Orthodox church, once the southernmost reach of Tsarist Russia's North American trading expeditions. The small, wood-scented museum offers historical exhibits and respite from windswept cliffs.
