Petroglyphs Provincial Park

TIME : 2016/2/19 4:09:30

Day-use only Petroglyphs Provincial Park , 50km north of Peterborough, probably has the best collection of prehistoric rock carvings in the country. Rediscovered in 1954, this important spiritual site is home to over 900 icons carved into the park’s limestone ridges (although only a small percentage are discernible). Visitors will be pleased to find that the site isn’t overrun with other tourists.
