Although it packs out on weekends with family groups, midweek this park on the western edge of the city is a slice of tranquility. There are great views of nearby Laguna Asososca, and very average food available at the kiosk – bring a picnic. Any bus heading along the Carr Sur toward Jinotepe can drop you at the entrance. Taxis charge about US$2.50 per person.
