How Far Would You Fly For Disney?

When I was young and foolish I thought Disney was uncool, I’d never want to go there, ever, even if you paid me.

Now I’m old and have children I will  fly half way around the world for a ten day Disney fix. Last time I went even further, I went without my husband. Mum and the kids on a great big Disney Florida adventure. We had the best time!

Regular readers will know that we live in Australia, it’s a heck of a long way to go to see a mouse.

Why Disney Florida?

It’s the oldest, the biggest and the best. The four big Disney parks are there, The Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney Hollywood Studios and Epcot as well as the Disney water parks and Downtown Disney.

Why do we love it?

It’s magic, what they say is absolutely true, it IS the happiest place on earth, for kids and adults alike, there is something familiar and comforting, about just being there, surrounded by all the wonders of childhood.

For me, as a parent, nothing beats seeing your children totally and completely happy. Caught up in the wonder of the moment, in awe of what they are seeing and experiencing.

My boys met Captain Jack Sparrow and joined his crew, went to Jedi training school and did battle with Darth Vader, rode the jungle river ride and had a turn at the wheel, went on safari in Africa and, more importantly, they believed it was all real!

Even if you have to sell everything you own, go, it’s worth it. It’s never to be forgotten and unlike anything else in the world. We will be back,  just as soon as we can.
