Qubec is the perfect romantic winter wonderland for any couplethat’syearning to get away from the stress of the daily grind. The fresh mountain air and the dramatic snow covered landscapes have inspired many a traveller in the past, and the charming French hospitality paired with the numerousactivities on offer make this one of our favourite winterdestinations.

For the adventurous couple

The Chaudires-Appalaches region of Qubec is an exciting and dramatic destination that is simply stunning in the winter months. The thick blanket of fresh snow lends itself to an array of winter pursuits made for those who want to feel the wind on their cheeks and be a demon on the slopes. In Saint-Nicolas you can try out dog-sledding, snow-shoeing and even para-skiing. Just a short trip away from Qubec City, we recommend a stay at the famous Chteau Frontenac to rest your weary limbs after a day on the slopes.

For the culture vultures

The walled city of Old Qubec is inspiration for any traveller with a passion for history. Gaze over the turreted spires of the French style buildings and down to the St. Lawrence River, where the boats of the colonial fur traders would moor. We really loved learning about Huron-Wendat Nation at Wendake, which is a self-governing territory actually in Qubec City. The community is full of artists who are ready to show you their techniques and sell their wares.
