A trip to Sydney would not be complete without visiting the local shopping spots which specialize in luxury. Given the climate, strip shopping in Sydney is ideal all year round. Not only is it an opportunity to see some of the most beautiful boutiques Australia has to offer, but you will also be able to soak up the local vibe that you may not otherwise get an opportunity to do.

Sydney

Like many other cities, shopping in Sydney requires careful planning as destinations are not often close in proximity. The east side of Sydney offers a plethora of options. Here are five of our favourite shopping spots to get your fix on luxury local labels.

Bondi Beach

Historically Bondi Beach has been known for its glorious white sand and rolling clean waves. However, in recent years Gould and Hall Streets have started to claim fame to some great local boutiques. Meander through dozens of local shops stocking some of the finest local and international designers. Whats more about Bondi, is that it is where you will find some of the hottest summer fashion all year round!

Bronte

Bronte is no longer known as the strip with a post office, milk bar and fish & chip shop. Bronte Road, also known as Charing Cross by the locals, now offers a vast range of fashion, gifts and homewares! Unique gift card shops, local jewellery designers and fantastic design stores line this boutique strip.

Double Bay

With the glory of Sydney Harbour as a backdrop, Double Bay offers some of Sydneys most stylish and sophisticated local shopping. Being one of the oldest local shopping spots in the city, Double Bay houses some of the most iconic local labels and a few noteworthy newcomers. Shop alongside some of Sydneys famous faces in this must-see shopping spot.

Known as Sydneys mecca of shopping, William Street, Oxford Street, Five Ways and The Intersection on corner of Glenmore Road and Oxford Street are all must see hot spots. You will find up-and-coming labels at Paddington Markets (open each Saturday) to some of the more well-known local retailers and designers in branded boutiques. Its well worth setting aside a whole day just for this local shopping haven.
