Founded in 1868, the Hatsuneya ハツネヤガーデン was an exclusive restaurant set just outside of the Kurazukuri District in Kawagoe. Now it welcomes visitors to its elegant spaces which have a blend of Art Deco and Japanese feel, with dark wood beams, white walls, and windows overlooking the private garden.

Enjoy a high-class fusion meal using seasonal, local ingredients at the restaurant, or have a more casual meal in the cafe. Seating is western-style tables and chairs. The restaurant embraces the concept of dishes based on seasonal offerings sourced from local farmers. This is a popular restaurant for wedding receptions as well so you may chance to see a bride in a traditional wedding kimono in a picture perfect setting.

The Courtyard remains unchanged from the era the restaurant was founded and offers a serene view from the tables.
The restaurant is open for lunch from 11:30 with a last order at 2:30 pm. Dinner is from 5:30 pm to a last order at 9 pm. The café is open from 11 am to 6 pm. In either place, you can enjoy one of the Hatsuneya Garden’s excellent meals.
