            Only a minute walk from the Hikone Station in Hikone, Shiga Prefecture, Ginsui is a popular restaurant featuring many different kinds of fish, both salt and freshwater. There are traditional offerings of sushi, but many regional variations and cooked dishes as well. They offer a large selection of a la carte dishes: Ohmi beef and Funazushi (fermented crucian carp) which are famous specialty of Shiga, and blowfish (winter only), and wide selection of local sake from Shiga.

Hours are from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm to 11 pm. Ginsui is closed on Sundays.
