Aquatopia at DisneySea

Aquatopia in Tokyo DisneySea is like riding bumper cars on the water. They turn and spin, moving back and forth in seemingly random directions. The passengers do not get to steer, but are pulled to and fro with the complex navigation system used in Pooh’s Hunny Hut in Tokyo Disneyland. The vehicles never actually bump into anything, but come very close to rocks, spouting water, whirlpools, and the other boats.

The ride lasts about two and a half minutes. With only two to three people per boat, the boarding is slow so lines do not move quickly. If you are short on time, you might consider watching from the side, which gives a good view of the action. No photos or videos are allowed during the ride, and passengers must sit stably. Children are not allowed to sit in a parent’s lap. Aside from this restriction, the ride moves slowly enough to be appropriate for younger children, so Aquatopia can be a fun choice for the whole family.
