Run by the Chennai-based M.Rm.Rm. Cultural Foundation , this particularly well-preserved early-1900s mansion mixes modern and traditional architecture. Unusually, you can tour the whole house; upstairs, there's a superb collection of Ravi Varma prints. Kottaiyur is 6km north of Karaikkudi.
