Saitama City is Offering Free SIM cards to its Foreign Visitors

Saitama City is offering free SIM cards to its foreign visitors. The SIM card giveaway service is for foreign tourists visiting Saitama City in tour groups or those who are staying in the select hotels in the city. You will also receive Saitama City’s original postcard for free which is loaded with information on sightseeing spots, gourmet food and more.

To take advantage of the free SIM offer, you can visit Saitama in a tour group or stay at one of the following hotels: Hotel New Saitama, Palace Hotel Omiya, Rafre Saitama, Urawa Royal Pines Hotel and Uraya Washington Hotel.

Saitama City Access

Saitama City is located 20 kilometres north of central Tokyo, recognized the lack of free wi-fi hotspots may hinder tourists enjoyment of the city so they decided to hand out free SIM cards to help visitors connect to the internet. The free SIM cards can be used in tablets and smartphones, providing 3 gigabytes of data, to be used within 30 days.

If you are arriving at Narita or Haneda Airport, you may want to spend a night or two at Saitama to get a free SIM card to enjoy for the rest of your stay!
