St Thomas’ Cathedral

TIME : 2016/2/17 13:18:48

This charming cathedral, begun in 1672 and finished in 1718, is the oldest British-era building standing in Mumbai: it was once the eastern gateway of the East India Company’s fort (the ‘Churchgate’). The cathedral is a marriage of Byzantine and colonial-era architecture, and its airy interior is full of grandiose colonial memorials.
